How long does it take for clob to work?

I must have had LS for 10 years (since early 20s). No physical changes until the last 6 months or less. I was diagnosed a couple weeks ago.

I'm all white around the whole area including my clitoris (or the scar tissue covering it). I've been applying clob every night for 2 weeks with no visible change, I've actually been having the worst ever flare up since the beginning of January. When will clob start working and change my skin back to pink and at least be somewhat normal?

Sorry to hear you have this ugly condition Maple.

I wonder if the Clobetasol is too intensive. I have had LS for many years and I was advised by my specialist to go down a notch to Betnovate ointment and found it perfect at that flare up time.

    Hope this helps X

Hi, my new Consultant told me to use plenty of clob as LS thickens the skin and clob helps to thin it. I have used lots of it every night for a month and now on every other night for a month then twice a week for the next 2months. I use Diprobase in between as a moisturiser. This is really helping me.

Hi there, you really want to be using the Clob twice a day until you start to see an improvement and then you could reduce it to once a day.  It sounds quite severe and unfortunately Clob is all we have at this stage..once you get it under control you could look at other alternatives, like borax.

Dear MapleSyrup... It took about a month for the Clob to work for me. I know, that seems like a long time. I was also told to take a moderately warm bath twice a day for soothing comfort. It works! I have also read here, that you should soak first for 20 minutes then apply the Clob and rub in for 90 seconds.  That allows the Clob to actually sink in past the thick skin that Clob causes.  I also take baking soda baths when the LS is active.  I hope this helps.  Debi
