How long does Prochlorperazine Maleate take to work please?

Hello all,

I've been feeling constantly dizzy now for around 3 weeks, so I went to see my GP yesterday who prescribed 5mg tabs of Prochlorperazine Maleate to be taken 3 times per day.

I was just wondering how long they may take to kick in as I'm on my 3rd one and don't feel any less dizzy?

Thanks in advance.

i had no success with it, lots of people don't, but sometimes gp s want you to take it longer. go with your gut feeling on it.

Some tablets are just not made for everyone. These are the best anti dizzyness tablets prescribed by the doctor.

Thanks for the reply. Think I'll give it a couple more days and see how it goes as not feeling any side effects off them.

Have you thought about seeing an ENT specialist? Not that medicines can't help relieve your symptoms but I believe there has to be a reason for the symptoms in the first place. Sometimes it's something silly and simple but I've learned when it comes to vertigo related issues it's just good to pin point the cause if you can. Hope your feeling better.

I've been feeling dizzy for around 3-4 months and first I was given toprimate tablets but they did not work so now I've been prescribed prochlorozine I've taken 5 tabs in total and don't really feel any better. I think il have to take all 28 to see if the,ve made a difference. Having dizzyness is awful.
