How long does your first outbreak of herpes last?

I just got told i have herpes yesterday i have had symptoms since monday eve and even ended up in hospital been told i have a really bad urine infection. I feel so disgusting that i have this and just dont know what to think at the moment, i feel so stupid that i caught this. The worst thing is i am in so much pain and have been for about 5 days i have anti bs from the doctor i only got yesterday and i am no better at the mo it stings so much everything is so uncomfy i have tried salt baths..a gel that the doc gave that numbs down there when you wee and nothing is helping please tell me this doesnt last long.

    This is my second outbreak in less than 4 months. I am 11 weeks pregnant as well and i am so scared that it's affecting my pregnancy. I still have the medicine they gave me from the first outbreak because the time I got the medicine the outbreak was gone so I'm wondering if I should take it because this pain is so bad but I'm scared I'm gonna hurt my baby if I do that too. Please help!!!

    Im 21 years old also 5 weeks pregnant. I did blood work and pcp said im clean this past Thursday I went to my Ob/Gyn and he took a look at the blisters that I have in the vagina area and took a swab of them also. Ob tells me that its a highly chance of it being herpes. I cant even walk sit stand or lay because the pain is their. When I pee I have to get in the shower and have water fall in the vagina area so it wont burn. But it still burns so bad to the point where I literally cry. Doc gave me antibiotics already and I need help. How long will it take till I dont have to feel this pain anymore?

      Now is that 2 weeks after you start taking antibiotics or is it 2 weeks after the outbreak

    I'm so sorry to hear this, well first outoutbreak last about a week or 2 depending on how your body is really taking it! My 1st one lasted almost 3 weeks n omg did itit hurt burned n itched! I used coconut oi for mine and also a use a blows dryer on the blisters so they can dry up! I hope it goes away soon

      Yes I hope so too thank you. The pain I cant bear it anymore. Anything I do seems like nothing wants to work I cry when I pee I cry when I go to sleep and I cry when I wake up because of this pain

      I know this is a sensitive moment for you now but added stress can make the outbreak worser. I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry too much.

      I try not to stress especially with my baby on the way but this is more stress added on

      I hope this helps but Im a mother of seven kids. I found out I had herpes with my 3rd child. They are all doing fine and have had no issues. You have the option of vaginal birth or a c-section. Whichever one you feel safe with. Talk to your doctor and take whatever medicine or instuctions he has given you. Your best answers come from your doctor.

    I'm scared i might have GH and i have gonorrhea and Chlamydia I have sex with a men the have herpes but he put a condom on bit took it off and try to have sex with me raw this happened 23days ago and the only thing I had was a jock itch but it didn't itch it burned and three days ago it felt like I had a UTI it hurts a little when I pee it don't burn or anything and I don't have blisters and his wife say I had a 50/50 chance of not having it

    I know this post was a while ago. I was diagnosed with GH about 3 months ago right before i met my current boyfriend. I didnt ever have an outbreak and my bf used condoms (i havent told him yet because when we met i was still in denial and he told me he was allergic to the medication for chlamydia and it was a difficult conversation because i didnt know how to tell him I had GH so i didnt any advice on how to would be awesome.)

    Anyway hes in the navy and is being processed to get deployed but last weekend i went camping and thought i got a bug bite (i have a bunch) like right under where the top of my underwear sits. I tweezed the hair around it to make the anti itch cream easier to absorb and now its very obviously a breakout. Anyway im going to visit my bf tomorrow for the first and last time in probably a year at least and i want to tell him but I don't know how and i cant just not have sex with him without telling him. I dont know what to do or how to fix this. Someone please help...I'm trying insanely hard not to stress out about this.

      Hey my dear. I totally understand your situation right now. Cause I'm in the same problem now. I totally don't know should I tell him or i should hide it. Hiding it make me feel so selfish towards him. But what if I told him and our relationship just ended like this. And my guy had g6pd. Which make me don't know how to tell him too..

    Hi just read this I'm really confused as I had signs of herpes with blister spots down below. I've not had sex for over 6 months I'm 32 weeks pregnant not been diagnosed yet waiting for my results from gum clinic on medication for it. Never had anything like this before any advice or help

    How does a dirst ourtbreak feel im not sure if i have it i feel no pain or anything just a bump i can feel without touching it its been there for 5 days and it dosent hurt i try to look and its very smal redish look and look like its spreading but im not forsure please help me whats a firsy outbreak feel lile look lile im gettimg checked out its just freaking me out u guys made me feel better if i do have something i just need anwsers?
