How long EFUDEX - stop too soon?

I have been using Efudex twice a day for 2 weeks on my forehead and cheeks / face. I was told to only use it for 2 weeks.

I can't see the doctor soon.

I have redness and I guess what you would call lesions but no where near the pictures I have seen. I don't think I am to the 'erosion' stage. It also is somewhat tender but not as bad as I was expecting.

If I stop too soon will it just heal up to the prior state? Not dried up and far from 'pussy'.

I want to use long enough to get maximum benefit. Like another week? Or 2?

Advise please.
