How long for ear drum repair pain to subside - any experiences please 😔

Hi ,

I am 2 days post ear drum repair with skin graft.

I am still in considerable pain in and around the ear. As I have a surgical ear pack in the ear as well I am also deaf on that side !

Was just wondering if anyone else on here could advise on recovery timeline if they have had the same surgery ?

I dont recall the surgeon giving much advice pre surgery about what to expect afterwards.

I am supposed to be back at work in 2 days as didnt expect to be in a lot of pain . When Ive done my own research the reccommended time off is 1 -2 weeks !!
