How long for pain meds

hi

i was wondering how long everyone stays on pain meds after surgery?

i had my rotator cuff repair surgery on 7/13/20 & although i stopped the Narco within a few days, now almost two weeks out, i still need at least 400mg of Advil at least twice a day. i know everyone heals differently but i was hoping the pain would be easing up by now. yesterday i did go almost all day without any meds but now today it hurts like hell. i'm i ing but that doesn't seem to help much
