How long is it normal to experience pain when walking after foot fracture?

At the end of February, I fell and broke three metatarsal bones in my foot. I got out of the boot three weeks ago and am walking much better - the limp is barely noticeable at all and I can go about my daily activities without much issue. However, I'm still experiencing aches and pains in the joints of my foot, mostly around the 1st metatarsal (which wasn't fractured) when I try to push off on my toes or roll my foot in an ordinary walking motion. It's not an *unbearable* pain - more just uncomfortable than debilitating - but it is inconvenient as it means I can't run or walk quickly. Any idea why this is, or how long it'll take to go away? Should I look into getting physiotherapy?

It takes a long time to get better, and your posture will have been affected when walking, hence you’re now getting pain in other areas of your foot. I’d have thought physiotherapy would be very helpful as you might need to retrain yourself to walk correctly as well as strengthening your muscles etc
