How long to wait for results- transvaginsl ultrasound.

Posted , 4 users are following.

Hi everyone. I have been experiencing lots of symptoms for about 5 weeks now which seem to change all the time; Too frequent menstruation, pelvic cramps, vaginal aching, diarrhoea, constipation, frequent urination, lower back ache, stomach bloating, upper abdominal pressure, various stabbing pains. I have my transvaginal ultrasound tomorrow. Just wondering if I might get some answers tomorrow or if I’m goinv to have to wait? What was your experience please? Thanks in advance x

alex, you poor thing! it totally depends where you are but if it took longer than 2 weeks i'd be bugging them. if you get too stressed while waiting maybe go back to doc just to talk it through - even if accomplishes nothing else that can calm significantly. meanwhile sleep lots and good luck

So I had my scan. I was told that they can’t see anything gynaecological.... I know this is good news but it doesn’t give me any answers. Prayers to all of you who are going through this worrying scenario. X

I think it depends what hosp/doctors you see, I waited 13 days for results to my vaginal ultrasound, when I had it I asked the sonographer did everything look okay and she said she can’t give out results but photos will be analysed and a report will be done which will then Be sent to my GP, so I called today but my GP wasn’t in, Receptionist said I have a cyst on my left ovary and doctor will call tomorrow once she have opened and read the full report! X

I’m so sorry to hear this Sharon, the waiting part is always the hardest! I seen my GP yesterday, I have a 4x4 cyst off some sort on my left ovary, the report says a blood clot formed and dispersed which possibly caused the contraction like pains, although the pains were on my right side? She don’t know what cyst it is so goto have another ultrasound at the hospital and CA125 bloods on Tuesday. My anxiety is also through the roof, my mind is constantly on the go, I’m googling stuff when I shouldn’t but I just feel I need answers although I can’t till further testing and results! Xx

Wish you all the luck for your results ??
