How long until surgical menopause symptoms

hi
i am 46 and had laparoscopic total hysterectomy with ovaries and tubes removed 6 weeks ago for fibroids. i have had a bladder haematoma which had caused all sorts of bladder issues and I am not sure if this has distracted me but other than feeling hot at night I have not had any other menopause symptoms. i am not on HRT, is it normal not to have any real symptoms or could they start later?

Hi
I'm 52 and had my hysterectomy just over 8 weeks ago for fibroids. I had everything removed including my cervix. Before my op I was literally sweating constantly day and night even with HRT. I was put back on HRT after my operation but a different kind. My mood swings and sweating is now non existent. I think removing the ovaries ceased the menopause but not sure.
Hope you are on the road to recovery.

hello
everyone is different with there recovery but once yiu have ovaries removed yiu will be for ed into surgical menopause.
some people take a few months for symtoms of menopause to start ,others right away.
you may not have a lot of symto but for sure you will have some mild hot flushes. I still have my ovaries though.
I had an early natural menopause at age 45 and my symtoms are mild flushes and some moody days . my sleep has been disturb but I take a natural bio identical progesterone cream which does help a lot.
