How long will my symptoms last!

Hi guys, I've recently (2 days ago) been diagnosed with herpes (genital) and have been taking the medication for two days, having salt baths and using numbing/soothing cream down below!! My symtoms are excruciating however and i was just wondering if anyone knows how long i can expect to experaince them or does it just vary from person to person? Also i know a friend with the same condition who said her symptoms on her initial breakout werent as bad, can some people have worse symptoms than others???

    I haven't been officially diagnosed however,my husband has had it for years. I have had muscle pain,headches,stiff neck (swollen lymphnode) and a lingering burning sensation in my vagina.no sores (As of now) everything has subsided after a week except the burning. Is it possible to have an outbreak and burn down there without any actual sores? Tyia I'm freaking out and have been tested for everything!!!!

    I am on my 3rd day of meds and it’s my first OB. I have NEVER experienced pain like this in my life. It is making me so depressed. I can’t go to work and have no idea what to say to my manager. I can’t deal with this pain.

      Hey if it helps I told my boss I had a severe uti

    It just feels like it’ll never get better. I’m going through my first OB and the pain is unbearable. I’m having to take time off work. Anyone else have time off for this??

    I am on day 7 of my first outbreak. And day 3 of valtrex. It is worse than when it started. Maybe 3 are scabbing but not the ones inside my labia or around my anus. I have hsv1. I was prescribed a numbing cream that does not help. Honestly, nothing helps. Everytime i go to the bathroom and i have to keep myself from crying. This is the worst thing ever.

      How old are you if you don’t mind me asking ? I’m 24 and honestly can’t deal with this pain I’m in 

      Are you having time off work ? I’m trying my HARDEST to stay slightly positive but f**k me, it’s the end of the world for me right now

      Im 30. I have been going to work. Its super uncomfortable but i just push through. If you have access to a pool, do that. Ive done it 2 days in a row now and it helps a little.

    Seems like a reoccurring theme is that hsv1 sores hurt, today i opened a thread called scary rash please help, after reading all these comments I'm even more freaked out 😔 if any of you could mosey on over to my thread and weigh in, I'd greatly appreciate it
