I took alendronic acid for 8 months, and got increasing bone and joint pain in my neck, spine and shoulders from around 4 months. I stopped taking it 2 months ago but I still have some pain in my spine. should this have gone by now? I had no pain before starting on alendronic acid and only have osteopenia.

Some people may have serious side effects when taking alendronic acid. I hope you are feeling better now, as I am replying to this post now. If you still suffer from pain, I suggest consulting with your doctor.
