hello, ive just switched to Gaviscon and, even thought the Lansoprazole was working i heard it was bad for you....but i darent take the Gaviscon as i think it might be full of calories,and stomach in agony

PPIs are ok for short term use. However, in the long term, they may cause problems. However, everyone reacts differently to medication. I don't know what calories are in Gaviscon, but I take them frequently, and I am still as slim as ever.

I don't know the answer to that because I don't count calories in food or medicines. I don't put on weight so I have no need to check this. Even when dieted in my teens, I simply cut out fatty and fried foods without calorie counting.
