it was the opposite with my son (age 11) His blood showed positive IvA and IgG antibodies, but when he was scoped it didnt show damage so coeliac ruled out (for now). Hope all goes well for you :-)

Yes, I had! It is quite common. I sometimes wonder why they bother with the blood tests as I've been told they are not very reliable.rolleyes

Ok this is good to hear - thank you. My gp has told me it's cut and dry with the blood test 😒

In the US, they recommend both the blood work and the endoscopy/biopsy if there are questionable results. When one son was diagnosed and the other's blood tests were fine, that was the end of it. But, when mine came back fine with some vitamin deficiencies, I was told to go the distance with testing. Even the genetic tests aren't 100% reliable one way or the other.  But, that could help you, too.

    Hi again

Thanks for the replies. I have my biopsy results on Thursday and I'm hoping for a positive so I can sort myself out- so much stomach pain this week. I was looking over my blood results and my blood test for celiec was 1 - so a definite negative. By I had given up bread by then and I don't eat pasta or anything as it disagrees with me. My pain has gone from left abdomen to all over my abdomen now and sometimes i feel sick too - just hoping they have done answers on Thursday x
