How much can cause liver disease?

Hi guys. So I'm suffering from serve depression. I'm 26 years old and I have a problem with drink. I wouldn't say I am completely alcohol dependent (yet) I seem to use it as a form of escapism and its just became second nature to me. I don't have withdrawal symptoms. I'm not waking up in the morning looking for a drink. At the minute I'm drinking 2 bottles of wine and one bottle of lambrini usually every other night but the past few nights its been every night. Sometimes I will go a few nights without because of work ect but its usually about 3/4 times a week. I've got my first appointment with my addiction team on Friday. How much do u have to be drinking to end up with liver disease?

hi Vicky.. hard to tell if you liver is yet affected. It depends on how many units or bottles per day or week and how many years. Do you have any breaks when you do not drink?? or every day of the year. Great that you are taking steps already. Robin

Hi Robin. I've been drinking socially since I was about 17 but that was only every 2 or 3 weeks or so on a night out ect. Over the past 2 years or so I wud be drinking wine a few times a week unless I had work. Now I'm drinking about 2 bottles of white wine and a bottle of lambrini usually every other night.
