How much fluid should I drink. I'm on 40mgs Furosemide twice daily

Hi

My doctor suggested I take 80 mgs Furosemide twice daily for stubborn fluid from my legs- It appears it is not working

I drink at least two litres of water and 300mls coffee plus 250mls of fresh green juice daily.

I don't know how this medication is supposed to work so perhaps I'm drinking too much water and the pill is removing the water I drink and not the fluid from my legs.

Perhaps I'm being inpatient in any case it is quite painful.

Any suggestions please?
