How much is normal to lose in the first 4 weeks on Orlistat?

Hi guys! I have been taking Orlistat almost 4 weeks now. In the first 2 weeks I lost 11lbs which I thought was fantastic. Since then I have carried on the same with my eating but haven't lost any more weight, is this normal? I am pleased with the 11lbs but would have expected to have seen a little loss over the weeks. Am feeling a bit down about it and wondering whether to continue

Everyone is different and respond differently to orlistat. I'd carry on taking them as it sounds like the orlistat is maintaining your weight loss after losing such a large amount of weight. Rapid weight loss due to a big change in diet could cause your body to hold on to everything it can but this should stop as your body adjusts and you should start losing weight steadily so it's definitely worth carrying on with your orlistat diet plan and be sure to exercise too, even if you just go for a walk or walk up and down the stairs a few times, get your heart pumping because it helps speed up your metabolism i wasn't losing as much weight as I'd have liked at first but then i started to do a little bit of light exercise every day and it's really helped. Not only am i losing more weight per week, i feel fitter and healthier too!
I hope this helps a little
Kindest regards, Elly
