How much sleep do you get?

I'm wondering how much sleep do you get?

Frustrated when the scientist or medical society say we should get or need atleast 8 hours a night. I've always functioned better with 6-7.  Now days I'm lucky to sleep 2-3 hours then get up to pee then 2 more hours, then up, then 2 more.  Sometimes I can't get back to sleep so I'm awake for 2 hours in middle of night.

I often wake from the new pain in my should blade area or the pain in my middle back.

When I decide to get up for the day and try moving around, go for walk, then I get tired again. Yesterday was good day since I could go back to sleep after my pee breaks, so I was able to function more, but back to the ole "did I do too much for my PMR to handle"?

I never had trouble sleeping, even with having to get up to pee multiple times during the night (depending on water intake) I simply went back to sleep again. Since PMR my sleep requirements have changed, I now require less so I simply go to bed later and get up earlier. If I feel tired during the day I have a nap. Pre PMR I would probably average around eight hours per day, since PMr only around six I would guess, but really that's all I need now. Gives me an extra couple of hours a day, that's a bonus in my books.

You are lucky. I was lucky to get 2-3 hours interrupted sleep with PMR and never one to be able to cat nap no matter how tired. Once up I'm up.

So you can see how devistating the lack of sleep can be. Trust me if all the other sleeping pills could have worked i would be there but they didn't.

Its like the last operation i had nothing including morphine and percocets worked only oxicodin (sp ) on the pain.

I'm very drug intolerant however with prednisone I'm getting all the side effects. So be it it's life and we move on.
