Hi,

I'm on day two of sertraline and I feel better already is this possible? anxiety has gone as well as the thoughts. I have GAD. Previously took flouxtine but it

Increased my anxiety. I've had few side effects with

Sertraline. One being pupils are bigger! Anyone else have this? Will it go? I've started a new Job and it's

Embrassing I'm getting strange looks.

I'm taking it in the evening I'm on 50mg which I've heard is quite low. Feel a bit spaced out in the mornings, I take it at night. Sleep hasn't been the best. I also take propanolo as I'm worried incase I get heightened anxiety like last time.

Look forward for positive stories finally feels like I'm getting my life back. Just hope side effects don't increase.

Go go go One step. Give the strange lookers thew news that some new medicatioin may be making you a little 'different' or just be honest if you feel it's right! I thought that early mornings were best for taking the dose and what I've been advised to do.

GAD etc is sh*te so I sympathise hugely. Those racing negative thoughts that just fill your face and head. If you get no more effects then the ones you have mentioned then that's amazing and great for you. There could be some others that come as a bit of a surprise but, apart from nausea, I've found them quite 'interesting' and recognise them for the chemical reaction they are.

Keep us posted and all the best.

What other side effects did you notice. I've noticed a few more.. just don't want increased anxiety.. that's what fluoxetine gave me.

It was strange for me I felt a lot better on day 2 of setraline then sadly it started to go back to normal I think it may have been the initial boost of it in my system that caused me to feel like that I'm not sure but iv been on setraline.l now for around 5 months or so around 2.5months on 50mg and the same for 100 mg, I feel like I'm slowly but surely improving and th side effects have mostly went away, I used to get sleeplessness, heightened anxiety, mood swings, stomach cramps etc but now they have mostly dissapeared! It's probably getting close to the time I may need to up my dosage and when you do the side effects come back a little so just be ready for that should you move up, any questions don't hesitate

I'm on 50mg seems most people are on more. How long do side effects lasts? I really don't want the heightened anxiety. Experienced that before and it wasn't good.

3-4 weeks I would say and then the same when you increase dosage but not as much as the initial ones if that makes sense they ain't as bad

And yes the side effects do suck but I suppose it depends how bad you feel without them and if your willing to basicly go through them in order to feel normal again I suppose it's a gamble in a way but I felt I had no choice so iv stuck it out
