I'd like to do a little survey here.

How soon after eating a fatty meal or drinking alcohol do you feel pancreatic pain?

  • Less than 5m?
  • 5-10 min?
  • 10-30 min?
  • 30-60 min?
  • Over 1 hour

Do you feel nearly constant pain from your pancreas?

  • Yes
  • No

Also, if you could mention the type of pancreatitis you have it would be good (Chronic, Acute, Pancreatic Cancer).

    Hello,

Speaking for just me, I never drink alcohol since finding out it could trigger pancreas pain. I'm more afraid of that than anything else. I hardly eat but the extra pain starts within 10 minutes. I'm often in constant pain, but my pain meds help quite a bit.

I have chronic pancreatitis. It's changed/ruined much of my life. I have have it about 10 years. Hope this helps!

Do you have chronic pancreatitis now? Is the pain always there, or only when you eat fatty foods?

Hi John-1 hope alls well with you. Pain varies after eating, sometimes right after sometimes next day or can even be 3 days later. I have had chronic pancreatitis (24yrs) after gallbladder removal. ALSO THINK ENDOMETREOSIS PLAYED A PART but doctors say no. Creon with food no alcohol. LOADS OF PAINKILLERS................................................
