How SOON after would anyone experience vertigo after flying on a plane?

Need a straightforward answer to this question: how SOON after flying on a plane would someone have vertigo? Does it usually happen right after flying? like a few days after flying? What about a couple MONTHS after flying?

My Story: I flew to Orland, FL in ocotber 10th 2016. I was fine during this trip. I flew back home to NY on October 16th 2016. I was also fine when i got home. (i was NOT sick at all during my trip and wasn't sick on the plane. i didn't have a cold or anything).

The first time i had vertigo (spinning sensation, felt like my bedroom was spinning) I was sleeping in my bed and i turned over to the other side and had the spinning sensation..vertigo. This happened on DECEMBER 2nd 2016. So this happened like a Month and a half after the trip in october.

Did flying in October somehow cause the vertigo sensation that happened to me while turning over to the other side in my bed in DECEMBER? OR are these totally unrelated to each other?

i guess anything is possible. ive been dealing with vertigo for a little over two years now. i flew recently may 22nd. I hate flying & i was MORE nervous to feel sick & unfortunately i did . But not until day three of my trip. We flew Wednesday the 22nd, drove five hours on the 23rd, we did a lot of those next two days. Then on Saturday the 25th, drove about seven hours and Once we got to our destination, everything hit me. I couldn’t enjoy the remainder of my trip and the flight home that following Monday was brutal. ): its been about a month since i flew & i still dont feel too great other factors come into play onbiously but its taken me a while to recuperate.

hmm it sounds like you had problems/symptoms DURING your trip with all that traveling.

For me, i didn't have any issues or problems during my trip in October. And i didn't have any problems after my trip.

But 46 days later was when i had the vertigo when turning over to the other side while in bed.

It just doesn't make sense that i would get vertigo 46 days after i flew.

my doc told me once after flight this can happen but usually a day or 2 after. she gives steroids to help it. you can get a inner ear infection and not know you have it. the resulting fluid build up can cause these symptoms. usually the resulting bppv can hit after the infection is gone

Of course I have no idea, but my gut tells me they had nothing to do with each other. To me, it sounds like you had BPPV.
