Hi to all who can give me tips on how to recover from arthroscopy
surgery,I have a labral tear with subchondral geode.I am 53 and have osteoarthritis head to toe.I don't think
I could use crutches for 2 or 3 weeks.I have a condition with my
right eye(it turns outward) which makes my gait a bit unsteady.
What can I expect for the first few days of recovery?
Should I plan on staying in bed? Thanks for any advice

Yuki50,thank you for the tips.I am looking at the
difference between a total hip replacement and the
arthroscopic procedure.I am surprised at the big
difference in recovery time between the two.
I like how the total hip replacement looks,it's Alot
shorter and your back on your feet literally right
after surgery.I have fibromyalgia and I am concerned about the recovery period and the pain
flares that will hit with the arthroscopy. If I do end
up with the scope, how much ice will I need to have
on hand? I have read others say that you use a lot
of ice. Will it be for just a few days?Again thanks
for the you tube advice :0) Tory

Hi Ptolemy, the hospital also sends you home with ice packs, ask for few extras. They gave me 4 for my hubby. And I bought a heating pad to rotate them on hubby. 20 mins on and off. Also Walgreens & CVS Walmart all carry these items.

My hospital didn’t send me home with any ice packs sadly, this is UK. They did offer to SELL me a picker upper and some other things though! They were cheaper on Amazon so I refused.
