How to catch up from lost sleep?

Hi everyone!

I have had insomnia for a number of years and as a result have been constently tired since I started struggling to fall asleep.

I have been doing things to help me sleep ie trying to get to bed by the same time every night and having a bath etc, fortunately it's helping and I am sleeping better however I'm still very tired all the time from all the sleep deprivation I've built up. Does anyone have any tips how to catch up on lost sleep? I'm aware it won't be a quick change as it's built up for such a long time but I would be grateful for any tips.
