How to control the pain

Posted , 7 users are following.

I was diagnosed yesterday with hsv2. I’ve already started the medication on Wednesday when seen and told they were sure that’s what I had. The pain is absolutely unbearable, especially when Urinating, I’ve tried so many different things. I’ve tried peeing in a bath, in the shower, trying to block the sores, lidacaine spray, with hazel wipes, taking ibuprofen, nothing helps. Please I just need advice on how to make the pain go away, I can’t sleep and I scream and cry all the time. Please help.

Oh babe, trust me we all know the pain! I was the exact same! I’m on day 5 or 6 right now and it hasn’t gotten any easier for me. I just take codeine tablets that put me to sleep all day so I can tolerate the pain. As for peeing, oh god I can’t pee without screaming and crying either! Although I did try having a real hot bath last night and peeing it in and it was still bad but I don’t think as bad as the warm baths I was having before that. I can’t stand, walk, roll over or even put my legs together because of the pain. It’s crazy

Drink a ton of water this will dilute the amonia in your pee. The amonia is what is stinging the sores. Baking soda is also good for relieving painful urination, and you have to drink it in a mixture with water (the alkalinity neutralizes urine acidity, which is what exacerbates burning during urination).

Try putting Vaseline on the sores it always works for me and stops the pain when I urinate. Hope it works for you :-)

In addition to the Vaseline cover the bump with gauze it protects it from the friction

The only thing that worked for me was a prescription pain pill! Mine was so unbearable I didn’t want to get out of bed to even walk to the bathroom because then I knew I was going to hurt more. Actually, it was so bad I almost passed out from the pain!

I tried using all those methods that were mentioned above but nothing worked unfortunately for me. Call your doctor he/she might be able to help give you something! Good luck
