How to deal with a "tiny" disk bulge (T7-T8)

I recently got an MRI of my thoracic spine after 1 month of an injury to my back (fall from height). I have a healing mild (~20) compression fracture of the T8 vertebra and the MRI also indicates a "tiny" disc bulge(T7-T8) that is causing an indentation of the thecal sac at the site.

I have NO symptoms of pain/numbness/tingling anywhere in my body except a subsiding pain at the site of the fracture. Although my doctor sees no cause for concern and tells me I'll recover fully in the next 2 months or so, I really would appreciate a prognosis/second opinion on how to deal with the "tiny" disc bulge and how to heal the condition such that it doesn't risk the spinal cord in the near-late future.

I’m an otherwise healthy, 34yo male. I have an active lifestyle as I'm a yoga instructor, and I'd like to understand what I should/should not do in my condition, the associated risks and healing measures.

Thank you! wink

Tiny/minor disc bulges must affect people in different ways so advice would be hard to give. If yours isn’t giving you any radiating pain, just localised, I would follow the Dr’s advise.

I have “minor” disc bulges at C5/6 and C6/7 with minor C6 nerve root exit and I’m in agony, daily with all sorts of radiating pain and sensations.

So sorry to hear about your condition! Is it from trauma or disc degeneration?

I'm from South India and have been consulting an Ayurvedic doctor who prescribes non-invasive treatments for all sorts of orthopedic issues. I wonder what he'd have to say about your condition.

      I wish you well!

Hard to say what mine’s from. I was dropped on my head in 2013 playing rugby, which wouldn't have done me any favours but I also have degenerative changes throughout most of my spine. Coupled with the fact I served 6 years in the British Parachute Regiment it could be a while lot of different causes.
