How to deal with bad anxiety?

I suffer with Silent reflux and health anxiety too much, today when I took my medicine for my GERD symptoms, it felt like the pill was stuck in the middle of my throat and I was worried if the pill would not work right, since it might of been stuck or not, but I drank so much water and didn't realize how much I was drinking and I'm really worried now on drowning my body with too much water and I can't stop panicking about it, I tried talking to my doctor about it about my fear and he told me it's very rare for that to happen and usually if I did, your body will find a way to get rid of excess water for you and told me not to worry about it too much and relax and to not google my symptoms, since it will make it worst then it is. But it's so hard to believe him, when my anxiety is so bad right now, does anyone know what's the best way to calm myself, whenever I feel anxious? I hate this feeling so much, it feels like my life is coming to an end, when it happens and I can't stop worrying about my health now.

your doctor is right. Your body finds a way to get rid of the excess fluid. When we overthink things our emotions take over what are the true facts. I know what anxiety can do. It’s important to be aware that anxiety can cause scary thoughts but those thoughts are not true. Do you have any family or friends that you can talk to so that you can reduce the anxiety? If not you can call me yourself down by listening to audios for reducing panic and anxiety found on YouTube. They really help. Also learn how to breathe properly for anxiety because this is the key to calming everything down such as a rapid heart rate etc. There are some excellent breathing exercises on there also. These things are great for when you are alone and have nobody to talk to. Right now fear has taken you over and it doesn’t have to be that way.

You’re going to be just fine and keep telling yourself that!

Do things to relax your mind such as going for a walk, taking A soothing warm bath, listen to relaxing music, talk to a friend, etc. keep yourself busy doing other things rather than thinking. Remember that whatever we think about whether it’s positive or negative, it will expand in your mind.

One thing that I do to take my mind off of myself is I help other people. That takes the focus off of you in on to somebody else and it’s a good feeling!

the bottom line is that you are OK. At some point we have to trust what our doctor tells us because they see these things all the time. Let go. Breathe. Relax. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy by the way we think. I always try to remember to be grateful . Take care
