How to deal with health anxiety and Silent reflux?

I suffer from really bad health anxiety where I always think something could be wrong with my health when something doesn't feel right about me. I also have GERD where my symptoms scare me so much. My main problem is dealing with the sensation of food feeling stuck in my throat and this happens too frequently on anything I eat, my throat would feel tight, like I might end up choking, throat pain and feeling like I can't breathe. It's a very scary symptom for me and I'm not sure what to do about it. I'm in my early 20s and always fearing on dying. I'm taking medication to help heal my damage esphagous, but just started taking it. I usually go to the ER out of fear when it feels like a food is stuck in my throat and they quickly do x-rays on me, to find nothing there. What can I do to overcome this?

You have had your throat looked at, now it is important that you get some help with the health anxiety because that really is living hell. Can your speak to your doctor about it so that he can arrange some form of therapy for you?

I actually made an appointment this morning that my doctor recommended me to go to for some help on my anxiety, but I have to wait a few weeks to see one. I'm glad though to finally get some help now and hope some therapy will work out for me. Thank you for the response.

      That's great news.

You know for months I kept getting food stuck in my throat every time I ate, felt like I was chocking and was going to die and my anxiety about this was terrible.

Well, in my case it turned out to be low acid rather than excess acid, I was told to take Betaine and I got relief after just 2 days.

What I'm trying to say is that very often alarming symptoms can be caused by some simple and not dangerous.
