Do you mean Diastolic?  Like 110 (systolic)/ 78 (diastolic) ?  If it's diastolic, yours is fine.  Stop worrying.

      Meta,

I gather you are female.  Right around your age, you do start changing more from a girl to a woman, so if you feel you are already starting on the slippery slope -- 90 more and more IS creeping up -- exercise a little more, and eat right.  Really, if Google is right on changing kilos to pounds, your weight is perfect -- unless you are like 4 feet tall.  Also, the bottom nimber is not the end all and be all of BP.  The relationship between the two tells a lot, so always look at systolic and diastolic together.

Spring is here.  Go out for a brisk walk, only put ankle weights on.

If there is one supplement I would urge you to take, though, it is B12.  I believe that all my problems now come from B12 deficiency I did not know until it was too late.  Take 5,000mcg (micrograms) of Methylcobalamin, that you can hold under your tongue, EVERY day.  You never know you are deficient until it is too late, and B12 is very safe.

Now I did it.  I meant bottom number, not bottom nimber.

      Tony,

That number seems a little too low.  What does your doctor say?  You don't feel light headed?

A diastolic reading of up to 90 is Ok. It may be that you are stressing out when taking your pressure. You need to be sitting down calmly and still while you take the measurements. I always take mine twice as I tend to get anxious about my BP. The second reading is always lower!

Other practical things you should consider is looking at your diet. Limit processed foods, cut down on white carbs like bread and white rice, and include foods like porridge and fruits and nuts. Have at least one portion of fish a week. Cut down on caffeinated drinks, such as coffee in particular, and try some herbal teas and of course drink lots of water. Try to get some exercise, even if its walking for 15 minutes a day or doing some gardening. In other words get moving!

Stress is also an issue with BP. Try to deal with things that are stressing you out, and That may be disturbing your sleep or worrying you. Try to get some you time, when you can relax, maybe meditate or do something you enjoy. That may be a hobby or meeting a friend for a catch up!

You can do a lot to manage your blood pressie, but if you are really worried, do talk to your GP or even pharmacist. All the best😊

Snap ,you must be the same as me,I always get anxious first time I take it 81-96,then I settle down for 5 mins then take it again and it comes down to 142-78, your bp does vary througout  the day.
