how to get rid of metaplasia in stomach

Has anybody been told they have it (after endoscopy). How did u treat it ? the gastroenterologist said I must have had h pylori in the past (tested negative) and apart from ppis for 2 months (and antacid at night for bile reflux ) hasn't suggested anything else.

I checked Wikipedia , and it sounds like metaplasia is not actually a bad thing . It just means that the cells in your stomach are changing to adapt to a different circumstance . It’s not an illness that has to be treated . Read it on Wikipedia . Whatever caused the cells in your stomach to change , once that goes away your cells will revert back to what they were before .

Hi Rainbowsend I am not a great fan of Wiki as anyone can put up /edit anything on it

?I had Barretts esophagus 3 years ago .Until recently it was thought that Barretts  could not be reversed but now reports suggest metaplasia cells can be removed  by use of ppis  (myself and others on here have had this happen)  However to stop it from recurring I have been advised to take the  over the counter 'liquid'  which suppress the flow back into esophagus (cant mention patent name or will not get posted) and this has also been suggested for bile reflux which was discovered last week through endoscopy (ppis don't stop bile reflux) .

?In my searching for what causes these white plaques in stomach I found that h pylori causes it (and some papers suggest bile, but surely you cant stop bile being released into the stomach?? (Acid is easier to stop going into esophagus) I have tested negative in stools and biopsy of plaque for h pylori, and the gastro Dr has no other explanation other than ''probably had h pylori infection " however there are no signs of ulcers either !!! and I had no symptoms of ulcers.  If I knew what caused these changes within the last 3 years (no plaques 3 years ago) then I could actively remove the cause (either through diet or med) Some research suggests ascorbic acid + anti oxidants to revert cells

?I jus wondered if other people shared my experience and what they actively did/ didn't do to get rid of it.

?yesterday evening  at a follow up visit to rheumatologist ( I suffer from Sjogrens Syndrome (SS) an autoimmune 'disease' ) she said  apart from mucous membranes (eyes mouth ,nose etc) , joints, connective tissues, SS can also affect digestive organs/ tract  and its possible that its my own body attacking my digestive system also . So I am back to the drawing board for causes of these changes. In the meantime I continue with all the usual anti- GERD actions and will start vitamin C and anti oxidants via  food and supplements.
