How to rebuild my gut Flora naturally

I was wondering did anyone try rebuilding their gut Flora naturally without the use of supplements and has succeeded?

I had IBS which was improved by the usr of probitocs but they cause me bad side effects. If I go without taking them I start feeling unwell again so I would like to try finidng something natural that would be just as effective as the probiotics.

You can eat pre and pro-biotic foods instead of tablets

      Thx for replying leeniepie!

Do you happen to know what would be the right amount and how often should I try eating those foods?

probiotics are in live dairy products, and fermented foods like sauerkraut and kombucha. probiotics are in bananas, and some other fruit and veg. you can find it on google.

start off with small portions and increase slowly

    Hi Chris!

After my last colonoscopy I had a heck of a time getting back to feeling normal again! I found that YOGURT was my best friend and helped TREMENDOUSLY! Just choose any with "active yogurt cultures."

I hope you feel better very soon!

      Thank you for replying Cheryl!

I'm glad to hear that! May I ask how often would you eat yogurt and what quantity?

Also, how long did it take for you to get  back to normal?

I'm a real yogurt fan, so I often have it several times a day. I go for low-fat varieties to keep fat and calories in check. 70-100 calorie packs are about 5-6 ounces.

It was about a week or so of eating yogurt each day before I began to feel more like myself.

I have always eaten cheese and had milk on cereal and glasses of milk with pizza and anything tomato. Yogurt, with those active cultures, seems to do the best job for me after the prep for a colonoscopy destroys all my intestinal flora!!!

      I hope this helps!

(Just had blueberry yogurt with fresh blueberries on top!) 😁
