How to tell if fissure is healing?

Hello

ill try to keep it short. Basically i am trying to get a better understanding of how you can tell if a fissure is healing.

My timeline:

  • nov 1st, caused a knick with piece of nut in stool. Slight pain and two small drops of blood. Next few days just a split second of slight pain during bm and that was it. By day 4 i basically wasn't feeling it anymore.

  • nov 10th follow up appt with CRS for a second hemorrhoid banding. I tell them id like to hold off ans let it heal longer. He proceeded to examine me with anoscope ans when he touched the internal fissure i felt pain. I believe he tore it more as i felt new pain after that.

The next week or so after the exam, i had lingering pain after BM but nothing crazy. Now im 4 weeks in and i have had a bm everyday and have only had two instances where a bm caused slight achy sear like pain. Otherwise i can go days without feeling much of a anything. i do get episodes of itchiness and some achy type feeling, or like a scab type feeling perhaps? here and there.

Does this sound like its healing / healed? the itchiness throws me off and the occasional ache as well. I have been using Nifedipine with lidocaine for 3 weeks as well.

Thanks
