I replied once and don't see it now. The prostate is an enclosed organ that doesn't clean itself, except in young men when asleep. It must be emptied by sex. Or it will slowly become an cesspool. This happens to many men when they get older. It is said most very old men will probably have prostate cancer and not know it. The prostate becomes very nasty if it doesn't empty on ocassion for whatever reason. Simple as that, it is not complicated.

Ted I'm not sure that theory works. My other half is 15 years older than me. He was in his late 30's when we met. Quite a few close friends joked that his ex wife left due to his high sex drive. He would want it (or do it himself) at least twice a day through to his late 40's. Throughout his 50,s almost always once a day. He gets quite bad tempered if he doesn't get enough attention in the bedroom department. I'm ashamed to say at 15 years younger my sex drive doesn't match his.

He was diagnosed with prostate cancer at 57. Even now at almost 60 and after treatment he would like to "empty himself" daily. It doesn't happen everyday anymore. But that is mainly me. But I really don't think it has anything to do with prostate cancer. Too much testosterone contributes to prostate cancer, men producing lots of testosterone will have higher sex drives....surely?
