How to work while you have vestibular issues?

What type of jobs can people with vestibular issues do?

I'd ideally like to work from home but working on a computer makes my vestibular issues worse and gives me ice pick headaches as well as migraines. I live in a rural area so there's no public transportation to take to a job either. Disability for vestibular issues is basically unheard of so that's not an option.

Does anyone have any recommendations or tips or tricks to get by? I'm basically out of ideas.

    I would consult a Social Security Disability attorney.  There is some good information on the VEDA website that relates to applying for disability and information that you need to use to establish your medical need for it.  Sometimes it is all that one can do, even if only for a short duration in order to keep a steady flow of income coming in.  You clearly are struggling and have been for some time.  Social Security Disability is there for people that have medical issues that cannot manage a work schedule.

      Thank you for your advice. I have applied for disability and am waiting on a decision; however, from what I've read, I do not meet the SSA's criteria. But even if I do get approved, I was told it's only going to be $300 a month. I can't live on that. I will need extra income.

      And I'm not trying to start a political debate nor do I want to but I'm also very scared that Trump is going to lower SSDI payments and then I'll definitely be in trouble.

      So that's why I was asking for job ideas. I will probably end up having to consult an attorney tho if I want any type of disability.

      No telling what we will have to deal with under a Trump administration.  A disability attorney can probably help manuever through the SSDI criteria for your best outcome, though.  No doubt that SS will do everything they can to keep one from getting payments.

      Also, once on SSDI it will open other doors for other financial assistance.
