How will I feed and water my dogs?

I am 58 and am having my right hip replaced on the 12th. I’ve been pretty excited about finally getting it done (which is crazy but living like this...?) I’ve been using my sock assist, shoe horn.... all the things needed for recovery and feel comfy with most day to day things except for a few that today are bringing me legit anxiety. I live alone and will be recovering with little to no help from friends because they work. I’ll get by.... my big concern is how to care for my 3 dogs....? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I have a tiny 9lb girl, a medium special needs boy puggle and a big guy. I am in a panic on how to get their food bowls on the floor, clean and fill their water bowl and get that on the floor and change my special needs boys diaper. The diaper requires both hands.....? I cannot get raised bowls in time never mind afford them (which would be useless to my little girl) Any suggestions? If I knew I’d be good on one crutch..... I wouldn’t be concerned.... how soon before I’m on one crutch? Help!

    Hi Christine,

This is a really difficult one. I have a dust pan with a long handle on, depending on the height of the dish, maybe putting it in one of those which would be easy to put on the floor, it is the only thing I can suggest.

Good luck on the 12th, I am sure all will go well.
