HPV and Genital Warts

Hi,

I was diagnosed with genital warts a couple of years ago and since then I've been fighting it. I do understand most of this issue as I have regular conversations with my healthcare provider. However, I still have some questions.

  1. Most of the articles online say that warts will disappear with two years in 95% of all the cases. What does that mean ? Does it mean if left untreated they will disappear or it mean that the body will clear the virus totally and they will never come back ? For now I've been fighting them for 3+ years. When they appear they are, say, no more than one or, max, two, Then I go to the doctor and she removes them with laser treatment. Will this come back continue to happen or there is some chance I will never see them again? I don't have any other STDs like HIV so the immune system is not compromised.
  2. Why do genital warts appear on the skin of the genitals? What is so special about it and not other places ? I know HPV can appear on other places but the genital HPV is different, as far as I know.
  3. I noticed that for the past 3 years, after removed the first time, warts have been appearing sometime during the summer, one or two of them, then they are removed, nothing until the next year same time approximately. What does this has to do with summer or any other period ?
  4. When someone is infected with genital warts and they start appear,is that is the only infected area or all the skin is. Let's say for instance a wart accidentally touched a very small area. Is the infected area that only one or the virus somehow travels to other cells and infects the entire genital area ?
  5. How can someone continue his sex life if not married and always worries that he/she might infect his/her partner if have sex ? I know one should talk about it but it is not that easy and it is shameful and most people don't understand it and if they search for HPV or genital warts online they end up with some gross pictures of very rare and severs case which is enough to runs away and never look back ?
