For the last two weeks, these tiny bumps have been appearing on the shaft of my penis. I work in the heat every day so could it be some kind of infection from the glands? I would love some professional insight, thank you!!

if you havent already gone to a GP or clinic i suggest doing so, i have something similar, i was diagnosed with molloscum although i am not too sure about that, they definetly look like either MCV (molloscum: water warts, contagious but treatable with cryo) or Genital warts, it would be nice to provide a picture of the whole area, that way i could see if its clustering or cauliflowering, but from what i can see its just MCV, it sucks but its not forever, like i said i cant really diagnose you...the penis is an organ just waiting to be diseased, please go see a doctor.
