Hello Sharon. It really depends on your GP and his/her views on HRT. In my surgery being prescribed HRT depends on which GP you see. They may want you to have a blood test first to establish your hormone levels but I couldn't have coped without HRT so if I were you I'd really push for it to be prescribed

Hello Sharon, sometimes it's difficult to establish at the time of the blood test as this doesn't always show...what other symptoms are you currently experiencing other than "cronnick tiredness"?

Hi again Sharon, it's also important to get the correct HRT to suppress your symptoms. I'm 43 & suffered Peri-Menopausal symptoms for 15+ yrs, had a Laproscopic assisted Mini-Hysterectomy in 2006,  (ovaries still intact, although deteriating with age). When i finally surrendered (after my husband researched & made enquiries), i succumbed to visiting the doctor and was put on a low dose (1mg) to start in 2011 which worked for the first two years but my symptoms have reocurred and i'm currently on 2mg...ok for now but only time will tell. I think doctors are quite restricted to prescribe the HRT due to the implications & side effects to Breast Cancer the HRT may bring.

    Good luck!
