Has anyone experienced taking hrt then having anziety. I tried to stop them to see if this would help but my mood dropped very quickly so I'm stuck taking them again and trying to deal with the anziety

Hi, I have tried numerous types of HRT - predominantly for night flushes , dry skin , insomnia and tiredness ( to mention a few symptoms)! Firstly I was prescribed sequi tablets - which I shouldn't have had as I am two years period free. Then I was given Conti patches - Femseven first which gave me dreadful headaches and raise in blood pressure , then lately Everol Conti. I've found that these are triggering anxiety episodes - something that I did suffer with badly about a year ago , but eventually diminished .

I've had a gastric bypass , so patches are probably the best route for me, but I'm not going to persevere - I'll take any symptoms over the anxiety.

I take sunflower oil, magnesium and B vitamins at the moment ,try to keep myself busy and exercise when I can.

    'Hope you find your answer!

Hi thanks for the reply. Your story sounds a lot like mine. I too decided to stop the hrt and although I am not totally better my anxiety has reduced. Can I ask what B vitamin you take as I've read you can take too much if you are not deficient?

      Thanks
