Hi

I'm on femseven Conti patches. I have been on them for about a year. I have started to have Migraines. They are becoming more frequent. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hello kim. I did years ago when the doctor prescribed the patches. It was because the dose was too high. Once I went onto the lower dose I was ok.

I would also like to know what other people's experience of HRT and migraines because I am not on HRT and I get very frequent migraines which got worse in my 40's. My husband heard on a radio programme that HRT prevented migraines but when I mentioned this to my GP he dismissed it. Also, when I first saw my neurologist he was pleased that I wasn't on HRT. As always with migraines there seems to be conflicting opinions.

Hello kath. When I was prescribed HRT my GP knew I had migraines but he said this was not a problem as long as my blood pressure remained within normal levels. As I mentioned previously the migraines did become worse but once my doseage was reduced I had no more migraines than before. I find some doctors are dead set on not agreeing with HRT but up to date research is showing it has benefits.

    Hi

I spoke to my mum about this as she used to suffer from migraines and took HRT. She told me as soon as she started on the HRT she never had another migraine. Trouble is she can't remember what HRT she was taking.
