Tale it! It has turned my life round! Took me back to normal, I was able to hold down a very demanding high paying job, & extremely happy. The doctor tried to take me off at age 70. Back came all the symptoms in spades, but worse. I was ABSOLUTELY desperate, & found on the internet that I could buy what I needed in several countries without a prescription, so decided to go for a weekend in Southern Spain every month to do this. Pretty expensive, but I would have paid anything.

Luckily, just before I had to do this, I found a sympathetic doctor at my practise who specialises in women's health & understands the problem (The previous 4 that I had tried to prescribe for me wouldn't) She gave me what I needed, after the others wouldn't with the added advantage of being monitored as of course you need to be. I went from being a miserable, sleepless, depressed, permanently anxious, moaning, listless person who sat around all day & couldn't go far from a toilet on the few occasions I had to go out, to being full of life, energetic, high achieving person who makes a difference to other people too.

Do not be put off by the very very slight increased risk in cancer, nor the very very slight risk in blood clots. I reckon this is more than compensated by my huge increase in exercise of all kinds, instead of lying or sitting around all day being miserable. For those over 70, I recommend going to patches as I did to mitigate the risks associated with pills after 70.

    Hi

I am 56 years and have been diagnosed as post menopausal. I have had anxiety and fears . I eventually became house bound not wanting to go out. I have an internal tremor and my balance was affected. I also had head pressure and a strange buzzing sensation internally. My estrogen levels were low . So the doctor recommended I go onto the estrogen patch. I am also on Duloxitine that helps with serotonin levels. The patch has certainly made a difference. I also take lots of vitamins as well. I am now back to my normal self . I can go out shopping, and lead a normal life. Your body certainly needs hormones for normal functioning. I hope that helps.
