HRT or BHRT tracking app

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hi everyone!

Im new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself. This looks like a very informative site and Im glad I found it. 😃

Im looking for a good way to keep track of where i put various BHRT creams and patches each day. Does anyone know of a phone app that can keep track? Its really difficult because I have to put 2 different creams on daily in different places on my body daily and then i also have to remember where to put my next patch 2x weekly. A lot of times I forget and guess where to put the medication next.

Any ideas?

    hi tess,

I was on BHRT creams for a couple years. I was rotating arms and upper chest, neck area but after reading up on it I had my script changed to vaginal application. It is the preferred route where hormones are absorbed up through where our ovaries naturally released them and then bring them up through our body to the right receptor sites. I read eventually your arms and other locations get saturated over time and the creams become less effective. I don't know about patches but wonder why you are on both? I've since switched to bio identical pellets and they are wonderful.

i agree with you about the cream application and saturation of body sites. i have heard the vaginal application is much better. i dont know much about the pellets, but how do you use pellets?

If you use estrogen patches they have you balance that med with progesterone.

      Thank you for your response!

      Tess

Pellets are placed under the skin in the upper buttock 3-4 times a year depending how much your body uses them. They include estrogen and testosterone. Yes I take progesterone by pill form because I still have a uterus too. I liked the vaginal application for the cream better then you dont have to think about what arm etc to put it . Pellets are nice because your hidy uses what it needs.
