HRT Patches, Headaches and no bleed?

Hi Ladies

I am 41 and very close to Meno, been in peri for quite a while already just not knowing it (POF I reckon). Last year about June with the estrogen going down rapidly (Progesterone was already down to 1) symptoms really gone bad and start of this year I decided I had to get help. Being that young I also "need" it to avoid future problems.

I have been started off with low 1 mg Tablets on a cont. basis with progesterone, but that just was not enough I could tell so gone to 2mg Tablets with cyclical Prog. I got my period early by 3 days each time. I had to split dose in 2 as I could tell the drop etc and still felt it was not good enough so swaped to Patches for a more even level of estrogen, also I had headaches (or eye aches as thats what I get) on tablets.

I'm on 0.1 mcg patch. I was supposed to get my bleed this week and indeed I have some sort of "bleed" but not really bleed, more spotting brownish stuff (sorry for too much info). - So my questions is why is that?

Secondly, each time I change the patch I get the day after my eye/ headaches and by day 2+ 3 it is ok again. Is that because of the delievery and is there a way I can avoid that?

Thanks heaps smile
