HRT Pellet

I just had the pellet inserted a month ago and was very happy until I started bleeding. I think it’s the progesterone that is causing this but I’m not sure. Is any one familiar with the pellet and it’s side effects while taking progesterone?

It’s the estrogen that causes your lining to build up. The progesterone should prevent a thickened lining. But you’re new to the pellets, and just like many women who begin HRT, you can have some bleeding until your body adjusts. It may take a couple month.

    Hello Gina

Some progesterone tablets are given to provide a withdrawal bleed.  Check on what your HRT is meant to do.

Do get it checked out.  All the best, Lyn
