HRT weight gain

Hi everyone, Ive been on HRT for 2 years. I'm 44 now. I was diagnosed with early menopause. I've gained so much weight around my stomach. Tried patches (that eventually became alleric too) and now on Angeliq tablets. These give me headaches and i can't shift the stomach fat. I eat healthy and walk an hour a day with my dog. Thinking of coming off HRT, Has anyone else decided to ditch the HRT?

Yes tried but at moment still need it I eat healthy and exercise and I gave up bread and potatoes but still hard to shift I am now swapping to a tablet if you feel you want to come off it do it gradually see how you feel without it and then you can always go back to it if you feel uncomfortable without it

Thanks. I don't eat potatoes or bread either but can't shift the stomach fat. I'm going to reduce the dose gradually and see what happens.

    HI MICHELLE

AS YOU ARE THINKING OF COMING OFF HRT , DONT DO COLD TURKEY.

I CAME OFF IT BY REDUCING DOSAGE(DOCS NEVER SUGGEST THIS).

I WENT ON HALF TABLET FOR 3 WEEKS

THEN QUARTER TABLET FOR 3 WEEKS

THEN QUARTER EVERY OTHER DAY FOR 3 WEEKS

THEN EXTEND YOUR TIME UNTIL YOU FEEL YOU ARE READY TO QUIT

    HOPE THIS HELPS
