HS & Anal Fistula?

About 8 months ago I was washing myself and felt pain and a slight bump. It felt long, more like I was touching a vein, really close to the anus. Fast foward, it grow larger and started to drain. I tried home remedies, but eventually sought help from a derm who diagnosed me with HS. Aside from the boil, I for many years experience get lumps and bumps down under and left behind many scars. I never went to the derm out of embarrassment, and the bumps never turned into boils. However, this being in such a sensitive area and something that doesn't heal prompted me to go. I went to see a surgeon who said it needs to be cleaned and probed to see how far it had tunneled. Has anyone here experienced a Fistula? Is this a result of HS or something else. I'm so worried about this. I'm worried that this will be chronic and never heal.

    I have had a lot of boils and had them all lanced open mine have started to not pop open they spread the dermatologist told me that they won't heal mine come and go it's horriable
