HSV -1 Outbreak, I guess

After having unprotected sex with I guy that I thought was only having sex with me, I started to feel some discomfort in my vaginal area within 4 days. I noticed a small bump that didn't hurt and I tried to squeeze it. Nothing came out and I didn't think anything of it. Two days later, I noticed another bump. Both bumps were pretty small, so I assumed it was a hair bump due to me recently shaving. For some reason, I started to get nervous, so I made me a OBGYN appointment just to check.

By time I made it to the doctor, I had about single 4 small ulcers, 1 cluster. She instantly looked at it and said it was Herpes.

Obviously I was devastated and in disbelief. I had been with this guy on and off 3 years and we never used protection.

Just to make sure I had Herpes, she swabbed the ulcer and preformed blood work. My swab came back positive for BV. My blood work came back negative. My NAA came back positive for HSV-1. The doctor told me that within the next 6-12 weeks my blood should read positive. However, I'm somewhat not convinced. The ulcers weren't painful and I didn't have any other signs of HSV. Also, his blood came back negative. Do you think that the BV could have caused a false positive on my NAA or am I just in denial?

All of my symptoms resolved when I took the BV medication. Does BV medication make ulcers go away in less than 7 days?

No. swab test are almost 100% certain bc they look for herpes DNA. there is no way for the herpes DNA to be there without it being herpes. You have ghsv1

I thought that swab test were high for false positives though.

Nope. Blood tests have high chances of false positive or false negative, but swab tests are 99.9% effective if tested in the first couple days. False negatives can happen but not false positives!
