HSV-2 recurrences after many years. What are your experiences?

Hey! I was diagnosed with HSV-2 Genital herpes 6 years ago with the primary infection. The first year was more or less recurrences each months and I was on antivirals every day for that period. After one year it suddenly stopped and it didn't show any symptoms any more after that. Now 5 years later I suddenly get a massive outbreak and now into week 4 i still feel ill and still got tingling sensation in genital area, legs, fingers, feet etc.

So my question is, anyone had a similar experience? And what happened afterwards, have you experiences more frequent outbrakes?

    sounds like your immune system is down. Try boosting it with nutrition and less stress. you may ask for antivirals to take for periods of 5-10 days when experiencing outbreaks.

    No I haven't been on anything since it has been dormant for 6 years. Would be nice to know how the virus functions. Is it none-dormant now? and should I expect regular outbreaks going forward? Or how does it work really?
