Hsv1 vs Hsv2 for genitals

Are the symptoms the same or different? I don't know which one I have. I'm not confirmed but I just started Valtrex last night to see if it helps. I go into the doctors on Monday for an ultrasound and a blood test for acute herpes. On the 16th it will be just about a month since I last had sex. I know it was definitely from this last guy because I was tested twice earlier in the year and was clean. Are the symptoms worse on the genitals depending on what you have? My symptoms seem to be on the inside. I have itchiness, redness irritation and cervix inflammation. Will the Valtrex help the inflammation??? How long does it take for the initial outbreak to go away? Also I thought initial outbreaks were the worst. What I'm experiencing is very annoying but bearable any my vagina still looks good on the outside considering...

    The outbreak takes about a week or so to calm down after you begin he valtrex. Not everyone has the same kind of initial outbreak. Some have no outbreak! So feel lucky. I've heard that HSV-2 sucks to have. I have HSV-1. My initial outbreak was pure hell.

      Thank you. I'm not sure if you are female but if you are did you have cervix inflammation too? Also if I took a pic and showed you my vagina you wouldn't know I had anything. Lol I think the outbreak is on the inside if that's possible although I think there are "pin sized" sores barely visible that are like on the bottom of my vagina and I think I have one on my clit but I'm not sure if it is or isn't. Sorry I'm graphic this is the first place I've found to get answers and I have a ton of questions since this is new to me. I've read another post where a girl had a minimal first outbreak and now they are getting worse so I wouldn't call myself lucky just yet. Who knows what the future holds. I can't wait till they do the ultrasound on Monday I have something going on in my cervix and whenever I'm examined I spot and have mild bleeding after. I sometimes think maybe it's cervical cancer and not herpes but I doubt it since I'm itchy on the outside but only in the mornings I am but then again that could be the yeast idk.. I keep waiting for this to get worse but my symptoms have been exactly the same for two weeks but the doctors said I had yeast and bacterial infections. I Just started Valtrex last night.

    Well if you have no bumps anywhere consider yourself very lucky. You could just have something as simple as just a regular bacterial or vaginal infection. Herpes 1 hurts real bad on your lip. Herpes to Hertz stings itch is you name it on your privates or close to your privates. Can be transmitted through fingers. I could not have my child because I was an outbreak when I was due to have him. I had to have a c-section I wouldn't worry too much if you don't have any bumps ok babe definitely deadly sir haven't seen her safe for 6 I don't care what the guy say wear a condom when you give oral sex wear a condom when you have sex if it hurts stop who cares what they say. he's not going to carry you all your life pay your bills give you diamonds is he I'll love you till the end of time? he's not worth it

    Both HSV types visually present and behave the same way during an outbreak. Only an IgG or swab can indicate type.

    Outbreak severity greatly varies from person to person and due to other factors, like HSV type, primary vs secondary HSV infection, gender, etc. Some have it mild, some need to go to hospital, others don't even have outbreaks, so never know they are even infected!

    You should feel better and fully normal down there in 2-3 weeks.
