Hsv2 and going without antiviral meds

Hi I am a 45yo male recently diagnosed with genital hsv2 I contracted recently. I was depressed for a day or two but then spent the last week reading quite about the infection particularly in this site. I was wondering if those with knowledge could help answer some questions for me.
I am having my first breakout and while I have about 15 lessons in and around my penis they are not really painful and I have mostly not even felt them there except when my underwear brushes them when I walk fast. I am into my 6th day since I first noticed symptoms. Most of my lessons have scabbed over except a couple. So far no new ones have appeared to take their place yet. Here are my questions:
1. Given I have low to no pain I want to see if I can do this without consuming any anti viral medications. I was thinking of taking vitamin c supplements but nothing else really just change my diet to foods high in lysine. I am planning celibate now (sex is over for me I learned my lesson, am a single father of two girls that are .y world and I have to be there for them). Does anyone think what I am doing is dangerous? Is going on antivirals necessary if I don't care about spreading to partners as I don't intend to have any. Am I putting my kids in danger by doing this? I am hoping my immune system will do its thing and eventually my out breaks will be fewer after a few months or so? Am I just crazy or stupid to do this?
2. I have no visible sores on my face hands or anywhere else except under the underwear area. I have decided to move myself to a separate bathroom and five my girls their own and keep my towel clothes separate. However I cannot keep our food, bottles we drink water out of, utensils etc separate. Am I risking transmission by doing this? Particularly if I am choosing to not consume antivirals and as a result will be shedding longer. I have shown no signs of oral herpes or sores in hands or any part above the waist. I am interested in hearing from others in similar situations with loved ones.
3. I experienced cold sweats or night sweats last couple of nights. Is this common for someone who has newly contracted the hsv2 virus? Both times I woke up shivering and sweating.
4. Approximately how long does the immune system strt producing the antibodies to battle hsv2 if I let my body do its thing. I know this is a tough question for anyone to answer but I thought others going "natural" could provide a response.
5. Lastly, is anyone else going completely without antivirals like me? Can we exchange info and keep in touch so I can learn from you if you have been doing it a while or we could share experiences if we are going thru the same phase?
Thanks a lot for this forum. it is helpful to learn other experiences of something none of us were prepared for. Hope all of you stay healthy and manage your conditions well.

If you don't get frequent outbreaks and don't need to worry about a negative partner, then there's absolutely no need or reason to take the meds. Many people don't, I don't, and it's absolutely fine. No need to change your diet as lysine is clinically unproven, but vitamin C and a healthy lifestyle are always good.
Antibodies will reach full production at about 4 months post-infection, which should protect you from acquiring it elsewhere. No need to worry about everyday contact, sharing tableware, sharing washrooms or even doing separate laundry. Good idea to keep just-used bath towels separate, however, if used on active lesions. That is the only potential concern, and even that is theoretical.
The first outbreak can come in two waves, with the second crop of lesions appearing about a week after the first. That may or many not happen to you, but just a heads-up in case it does. If so, don't worry, as it's quite normal for this to happen during the first outbreak. Think that covers all of your questions. I'm assuming you were diagnosed by swab, since you have lesions. If not, get swabbed asap.

1. Given there has been evidence that shedding occurs even when you are not having an outbreak, which part of the body does the shedding occurs. Is it still in the genital area or is any location on the body susceptible and skin contact anywhere would cause transmission. I am a bit confused because I thought it is only skin on skin contact against a lesion, but without a lesion is the shedding happening from the general genital area anywhere?
2. What about my kids drinking water out of the same bottle that I have put my mouth to? I have no symptom of oral hsv2 since my first breakout started. Have been washing hands and into my 7th day now.

You had a lot of questions and I was the only one who replied and carefully answered them all, even going back because I forgot to answer one. I do this voluntarily, you know; I don't get paid to answer people's questions, despite doing it near daily for over a year. But you reply by launching straight into even more questions without a single thanks? I appreciate that you're freaking out and paranoid, but a little gratitude can go a long way...

You wouldn't be shedding from your skin all over it would just be the genital area so you wouldn't need to worry at all about passing this to your children!
