Hula Hooping

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hi Ladies, any opinions welcome, i'm now 4 months post op, no problems at all sailed through it and back exercising on cross trainer and bike etc but i was a keen hula hooper before the op, on average about 20 mins per day. Does anyone think hula hooping would be a bad thing to start doing again? I'm fine with anything else just worried about the hoop going around belly area, no pain or anything just a little apprehensive.

I think you'd be ok now. I'm 10 weeks and back decorating and lifting furniture. Don't have my hospital check up til 12 weeks bit was told by Dr I'd be fine to go to work from 4 weeks so couldn't just wait til appointment to get back to normal. If it hurts stop 😊

the only thing I would be wary about, is getting a twisted gut. After a TAH, the intestines gradually drop down to fill the void. I have heard of women getting a twisted gut. So might be best to ask the Doc first, just to be sure. smile
