Humira (Adalimumab) treatment for psoriasis

Hello,

I suffer from psoriasis, I have has PUVA & UVB light therapy none of which worked, I have also tried acitretin which also didn't work, at my last appointment with my dermatologist they suggest giving Humira (Adalimumab) a go to see if that would help, I told them I wasn't keen on it because of the side effects I was reassured and decided to go ahead with the treatment with my first delivery on the 28th march, but now I can't help but sit and worry about the side effects again, so I am just wondering if anyone is having these injections and how they are finding them, Thanks in advance.

I am on these injections for my skin and associated arthritis. The injections are fine with very few side effects for me, just some swelling at the injection site for a few hours. I have found it effective at minimising the arthritis pain but for me there has been no improvement for my skin. Everybody reacts differently though so it may work really well for you, give it a try and see how you do as you can always stop if it doesn't work for you or you have bad side effects but you will never know until you try. Good luck
